I had a great consultation with a cute couple the other day. While we were going through one of my new sample albums, they were so ‘wowed’ by a specific spread and went on about how they loved the colors and how fun it was to see those photos! So that led to us chatting a bit about how to add that pop of color to the wedding day and with Indian weddings not being as traditional (or not my brides’ weddings anyway) in clothing or design, in order to lend for great photos.

This color coordination credit in this particular wedding goes to my beautiful bride, Sonal, who did a fabulous job of coordinating her beautiful dress with her groom’s clothing and then adding those great pops of color to their bridal party which also showed in her flowers around the mandap – loved it!

On top of the color, this couple just loved how much fun we had with the bridal party itself and so for girls getting married, I’d definitely recommend considering the vibrant pops of color and going a bit “off the cuff” – I mean, why not!? It’s fun, and unique & it lends a more modern & contemporary appeal that translates into beautiful photographs!

p.s. even more awesome when the bridal party is all about having a great time & a laugh the entire time!!

I couldn’t resist. My friend Maria asked me if I could do a newborn shoot - it was a gift from the maternal grandparents to Maria’s sister & brother-in-law, Gabbi & John. I’m glad I couldn’t resist because this was the cutest family ever! So in love – with each other, with baby and with their fur-baby Berkley! Noah is so precious – thank you Gabbi & John for letting me be a part of the laughter, cuddles and smiles during this very special time in your lives! xo

I am beyond excited to share the news of this new feature with you! I had been looking for the perfect “home” for these two weddings, reception and the gorgeous events prior to the weddings. Dina’s Birthday P-A-R-T-Y! | part 1

A 40th Birthday celebration planned by Dina at Ventana’s = PARTY!!!

When I first met Dina, I liked her instantly! She had great energy, strong spirit and a good heart – it was very evident! It was important to her to surround herself with close friends and family who had been there for her, loved her, and supported her for many years while she was ‘growing up’! And they were there celebrating with her – with love and caring, memories of tears shed over the years and laughter along with the memories!

And it was a P-A-R-T-Y — along with much drinks and laughter, it was also beautiful and elegant with a splash of whimsy and fun! Happy Birthday Dina – thanks for being such a sweetie – much love to you as you enter a wonderful year of your life!

Bini & Vamshi | The Ceremony

I adore this couple and had so much fun being a part of their wedding weekend! Thank you Bini & Vamshi for allowing me to capture all of your special moments – it meant so much!

Bini & Vamshi had a traditional Telugu ceremony and it was so evident that the elements in this ceremony not only held a lot of reverence to tradition and culture, but for a guest looking in, it was actually so much fun to watch – you felt like you were a part! My favorite was where they started putting rice on each other which then led to the entire tray being emptied on one another! The very best part was how this couple, amidst much of the family being on the stage with them and talking (as they do during all Indian ceremonies), telling them what to do, would look at each other as if they were the only two in the room. The love was so apparent and so I am so happy to share moments of that during the ceremony in this Sneak – enjoy!
